How wonderful life is while you're in the world
-Elton John
Where do I even begin?
There are truly no words adequate enough to describe Colin.
He is one of my greatest blessings, and truest friends.
He's the type of person that improves the quality of life for others
just because they know him.
He is an honest and fair man, not just to those he cares about but to all he meets.
A man of the greatest faith with remarkable accomplishments yet a humble heart.
A philanthropist that has touched more lives than he could ever know.
Working tirelessly his entire adult life to help those in need.
A brilliant teacher that is in control of everything going on around him,
determined to help ALL.
A fierce leader that could overcome any obstacle and always create a positive culture.
Not just a friend, my family.
The days that I have shared with Colin have been my best,
he taught me how to be a better man.
I cannot imagine a life without him.
He will certainly leave an unforgettable mark that could never be forgotten.
Colin P Casey is a person that we should all aspire to be."

Colin & Thomas Johnston were best friends growing up until Colin had to deal with the unthinkable- the passing of his mother Patricia. Unfortunately, Colin moved from Bronx to NJ and lost contact with Thomas. It wasn't until 45 years later, when Colin was walking in Red Bank that he heard a voice that was music to his ears, When he looked at the man signing and playing the guitar, he couldn't believe his eyes. It was Thomas- the rest is history. Thomas recently wrote this song for Colin
"My life changed when I joined
THAT MAN IS YOU
We get together at 6:30 a.m. for coffee & bagels, watch a 30 minute video from 7:00-7:30, then have group discussions until 8:00 a.m. I have so many great friends from being a part of this incredible experience!
I know I've became a better man, better husband, better father, and a better grandfather after becoming part of this incredible group! (Not to mention just being better focused)
Why not join us and see for yourself?
I am very confident that you will be happy you did."

Colin was both the Alumni President at Brookdale College in Lincroft, NJ as well as a Trustee on the Brookdale Foundation. While he served those terms he got to know Greg Mortenson, Founder of the Central Asia Institute (CAI). Greg educated him in what was going on in the Karikorum region. Woman were not given the opportunity for an education and they were treated like second class citizens. The Taliban would come and take their sons at 13 to make soldiers out of them. Greg told Colin and friends that when you educated a girl, you educated a community! He started building schools in the Pakistan / Afghanistan K3) region for girls. It took off and they were most successful! That's when Colin & his partner Kirsten started a fundraiser at Brookdale were we raised the funds to build a school for girls in the region. What they saw as pertinent was to educate as many people as they could about the situation in that region, they purchased hundreds of Greg’s Three Cups of Tea books as well as his Stones into Schools books. They invited Greg back to the college to speak to students and sign their books! It was a huge success and they raised the money to build and name a school (Brookdale, of course) for girls in that region and it was most successful!
Just a great accomplishment by the Brookdale Students & their Honor Society, Aloha Pi Theta in the late ‘90’s & early 2000’s!I This was also a cherished time in Colin's life. Since Greg has started the Penny's for Peace non profit, For more information on Greg click on the link below.
Colin is truly passionate about the Catholic school system and feels that we are living in times where Christians are being persecuted and many Catholic Schools are closing their doors. Colin as often said that he would not be the man he is today without the 12 years of Catholic School education that his father afforded him. He will always be grateful and will forever support the Catholic School Mission, especially St Mary's Mother of God in Middletown NJ
Colin has been an advocate of St. Mary’s Elementary School for years and He is a huge fan of their Principal, Craig Palmer
" A great Catholic gentlemen who lives the life he preaches. Craig loves his students and they love him right back."
